I am pleased to share that we successfully organized a four-day immersive training workshop on “Innovations, Design Thinking, Intellectual Properties, and Technology Transfer in Postharvest and Food Processing” from October 24-27, 2023. This event, held under the Food Innovation, Nutrition, and Health Academic Program at AIT, was conducted in collaboration with FTRIP Cambodia and the CAPFISH Capture-Postharvest Fisheries Development Project, UNIDO.
Training Highlights
The workshop provided comprehensive training for researchers, policy developers, and enterprises from Cambodia. The curriculum included:
- Design Thinking and Innovation: Techniques for idea generation and new product development.
- Technology Transfer: Phases of technology transfer tools, validation processes, and valorization of research.
- Valorization and Value Chain Development: Strategies for research valorization through startup creation, intellectual property protection, and effective technology transfer.
Objective and Impact
The training aimed to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge to drive innovation in postharvest and food processing sectors. By focusing on design thinking, technology transfer, and intellectual property, the workshop provided valuable insights into creating and scaling innovative solutions.
