I am pleased to announce the successful completion of a two-month customized training program on “Food Innovations and Sustainability” for 35 final-year undergraduate students from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad (UASD), India. This program, conducted under my mentorship at the Food Innovation, Nutrition, and Health (FINH) Academic Program of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), concluded on 25 June 2022.
Training Overview
The training provided students with in-depth exposure to sustainability issues, challenges, and solutions, particularly in the food and agriculture sectors. The comprehensive curriculum enabled students to gain valuable knowledge and practical insights that are crucial for addressing sustainability in these vital industries.
Partnership and MoU Development
This training program also facilitated the development of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between AIT and UASD, strengthening the collaboration between our institutions. It was a pleasure to welcome the Vice Chancellor, senior officers, and professors from UASD, along with the 35 enthusiastic students, to AIT.
