I am pleased to announce the successful completion of a comprehensive three-day training on “Developing Bankable Project Proposals for Addressing Plastic Pollution,” organized jointly by the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in Bangkok. This training was part of the CounterMEASURE II Extension project, led by myself (Prof. Anil Kumar Anal) and Dr. Takuji W. Tsusaka of AIT.
Training Highlights:
- Insightful Sessions: Participants gained valuable insights into funding mechanisms and best practices for crafting effective and comprehensive project proposals.
- Interactive Learning: The training included interactive sessions and discussions, fostering a collaborative environment for skill enhancement.
- Practical Outcomes: Through rigorous brainstorming and exercises, country partners developed draft project proposals ready for funding.
- Enhanced Skills: Attendees improved their proposal development skills, deepened their understanding of funding sources, and built networks for future collaborations.
This event provided a vital platform for regional collaboration and practical skills development in tackling plastic pollution. I extend my gratitude to all participants and organizers for their active engagement and contributions to making this training a success.
