{"id":2335,"date":"2024-07-04T04:16:01","date_gmt":"2024-07-04T04:16:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/faculty.ait.ac.th\/anilkumar\/?p=2335"},"modified":"2024-07-04T04:16:03","modified_gmt":"2024-07-04T04:16:03","slug":"welcoming-professor-dr-parmjit-panesar-to-ait","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faculty.ait.ac.th\/anilkumar\/welcoming-professor-dr-parmjit-panesar-to-ait\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcoming Professor Dr. Parmjit Panesar to AIT"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>It was a pleasure to welcome Professor Dr. Parmjit Panesar from the Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET, Deemed to be University), Punjab, India, to the AIT Food Engineering and Bioprocess Technology (FEBT) and AIT Food Innovation, Nutrition, and Health (FINH) departments during his visit from 15-20 August 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Fruitful Collaboration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our collaboration between AIT and SLIET has yielded exceptional results during 2021-22, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Research Project:<\/strong> Securing a research project funded by the ASEAN-INDIA Collaborative Fund.<\/li><li><strong>Book Publications:<\/strong> Co-editing two books:<\/li><li>&#8220;Valorization of Agro-industrial By-products: Sustainable Approaches for Industrial Transformation&#8221; by CRC Press.<\/li><li>&#8220;Probiotics, Prebiotics, and Synbiotics: Technological Advancements Towards Safety and Industrial Applications&#8221; by Wiley and Sons Ltd.<\/li><li><strong>Journal Articles:<\/strong> Co-authoring four articles published in high-impact journals:<\/li><li>Food Reviews International Journal (IF: 6.043; CiteScore: 12.9)<\/li><li>Journal of Food Process Engineering (IF: 2.889)<\/li><li>Journal of Food Science and Technology (IF: 2.701; CiteScore: 3.80)<\/li><li><strong>Book Chapters:<\/strong> Contributing to two book chapters.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3>Acknowledgements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>My sincere thanks to Prof. Panesar for his visit and his efforts, which have significantly contributed to our collaborative success.
